\nBeing indoors does not have to be boring either for you or your family pet. Interactive play has a big impact on the health and well-being of your little friends. You don’t need a bunch of toys to keep them busy, but a little bit of time, love, and dedication.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Currently, we have no access to pet daycare centres and other pet services. However, no one forgets about their needs, especially in interactivity. Sitting on the couch is not very fun, and your pet needs to exert that built up energy. So, how do we keep our furry friends entertained?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
First, exercise. Walks, hiking, and all the sporty games keep your pet active and fit. Don’t forget about mental stimulation – provide some toys, hiding treats, building obstacle courses, etc. A great way to change your walking routine is to expose your pet to new scenery and smells.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Of course, grooming. Keep your pet’s nails clean and trimmed. Brush their fur 2 to 3 times a week. Do not forget about a regular bath routine. Grooming is a great way to keep an eye on the skin changes of your pet. Check for lumps and bumps to make sure there are no health concerns. A good idea is to check with your veterinarian doctor about the grooming process of your pet as well.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Let us talk about affection. Cuddles, petting, and belly rubs are great for showing your love. It is good for both of you, as it strengthens your emotional connection. Also, it promotes your pet to have some positive interactions with other people and animals. Your pet becomes excited and that creates additional positive energy.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

An important part of pet life is socialization. American Animal Hospital Association says that early socialization helps prevent aggressive behavior in older age. It is a good time to bring your pet for a walk and let them talk to other animals from a few weeks old to 16-18 weeks. This period is critical, you want to make sure they have enough interaction with people and animals.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

There are a few suggestions on how to make your pet active at home. You can teach your pet to clean up the toys. It’s not as easy as it sounds, but it is fun and engaging for both you and your pet. Teaching your pet a new skill will always boost their confidence and is great for their physical and mental stimulation.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
